Jason Field

Jason Field

"Jimmy Garren"

Jason Field was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia and graduated from the University of South Carolina. He moved to Los Angeles in 1994 to study acting and martial arts. In 1995 he became a student at the prestigious Howard Fine Acting Studios. In this same year, Jason found the legendary Jun Chong Tae Kwon Do School in West Hollywood. Consumed by both passions, he quickly excelled, earning a full scholarship for acting and a black belt in martial arts.
By 1997 Jason had made numerous TV and National commercial appearances. Although his love for acting would continue, the martial arts calling became loud and clear. In 2002, he opened the first branch of Jun Chong Tae Kwon Do in Vail, Colorado. The school, Inyodo Martial Arts, would be the culmination of years of dedication and diligence. Jason had achieved his martial arts goals set in early 1994. It wasn’t until 2005, nearly eleven years since his first acting class, that Jason would achieve the goal he set out to accomplish as an actor. In August 2005 Master Chong approached Jason for the lead role in “Maximum Cage Fighting.” A Martial Arts Movie!
Jason’s biggest thrill in MCF was training with grappling legends Renzo Gracie, Rigan Machado, and Gerson Sanginitto. After intense training for the film Jason immersed himself in the world of mixed martial arts. In 2006 he promoted the first “Ring of Fire” Mixed Martial Arts Championships, in Vail. He has begun to train professional mixed martial art fighters and has several athletes fighting in the Denver, Colorado area. Through all his successes Jason reflects fondly on that fateful day he met his Master and became inspired by a man named Jun Chong. He says that through martial arts he has made a living and a dream come true. Jason spends time between Vail and Los Angeles and will continue, like his master before him, to train as an actor and martial artist.
